Scientific And Technical Workshop Dedicated To Creation And Application Of Cutting-Edge Enhanced Oil Recovery Technologies Was Held In Moscow

Scientific Workshop Breakthrough Enhanced Oil Recovery Technology - Alternative to Polyacrylamide in Oil Industry was held on March 18, 2016 in Azimut hotel in Moscow.

V.V. Shelepov, Head of the Federal Agency for Subsoil Usage Central Development Commission, spoke at the opening of the event. He noted the timeliness of discussing this business area under conditions of import substitution and, therefore, the necessity to produce new domestic chemicals and develop innovative technologies on their basis.

R.N. Fakhretdinov, General Director of HimServisInzhiniring MPK LLC, presented an overview of chemical oil recovery improvement methods used in the industry.

Relevance of application of physical and chemical methods for enhanced oil recovery at late field development stage was discussed within the event framework.

Results of development and application of a technology based on domestic chemical AC-CSE-1313 as an alternative to existing polymer systems were analyzed.

Experts from over 25 companies of oil and gas and chemical industries took part in the workshop, over 20 technical papers were presented, experts from RITEK, Rosneft, Tatneft, RUSVIETPETRO, VNIIneft, SamaraNIPIneft and other leading Russian and international service companies participated in discussions.

A.M Petrakov, Director of the VNIIneft JSC Center of Hydrodynamic and Physical and Chemical Advanced Recovery Methods, Doctor of Engineering, Fellow of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, spoke on Specifics of Implementing Conformance Control Technologies in Well Systems.

Experts of the VNIIneft JSC Center of Hydrodynamic and Physical and Chemical Advanced Recovery Methods have been carrying out studies associated with well conformance control for over 30 years and have accumulated vast experience of experimental and field works. Significant success has been achieved in this area of studies, which was noted by event participants during report discussion.
